Now in its sixth year, the prestigious tournament features 20 teams from all over Europe and the United States.

Global heavyweights Manchester United are the latest club to get involved, joining the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Tottenham.

Burnley’s ‘sister club’ Espanyol are also involved, while Chicago Fire and FC Dallas will make the long trip from the States for the Under-21 competition.

Matches start on the morning of Friday, May 29 and continue through to Sunday, May 31,

culminating in the exciting Cup and Plate finals.

Chelsea ran away with last year’s tournament Cup, with Italian giants AC Milan winning the Plate bracket after a tense final against Brentford.

Tickets are free of charge for spectators and can be found on the club’s official website.

Burnley’s academy manager Chris Casper has encouraged Clarets fans to get down to Gawthorpe and witness the high quality football on show.

“There will be some really top talent on display,” he told the Burnley Express.

“We've got some really good players in our team and obviously there’s the likes of Man Utd, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, etc.

“It would be well worth coming along and having a look at what's the future looks like, not just for Burnley, but for what's out there in the future

“It's been going now for five years. A lot of organisation has gone into it and I'm looking forward to a really high-level and elite tournament

“We want to continue to grow the competition as much as possible. We've gone from 16 to 20 teams this year and the level of competition and the level of teams that's in it is going to be really exciting and a challenge for all the teams that's in there.”
