Pedulla: Tiago Pinto plus Iraola – Milan targeting double raid for Bournemouth masterminds

AC Milan are in the process of constructing a new management, and they are eyeing a double raid on AFC Bournemouth.

In case you missed the big news from Monday, Gerry Cardinale gutted the Milan management in one fell swoop. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani all paid the price for a dreadful end to the season.

Iraola plus Pinto?

According to what is being reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Milan are ‘moving forward’ in their bid to hire Andoni Iraola as the new head coach. The contacts are constant and right now the focus is solely on him, despite the competition that exists and must be respected.

Iraola had been linked to Napoli, but in reality it was the Rossoneri who were always more serious. The Partenopei have instead turned to Vincenzo Italiano who currently looks set to join them from Bologna.

Pedulla adds that Milan are looking for a sporting director and are exploring various options. And they have inquired about the position of Tiago Pinto, formerly of Roma. Coincidentally, he enjoyed success at Bournemouth with Iraola as the coach.

For now, it’s just an inquiry, but Milan want to know more about Pinto. While with the Cherries, he oversaw the signings of players like Evanilson, Rayan, Alex Jimenez, Adrien Truffert, Eli Junior Kroupi and others.
