Moretto: Iraola ‘prefers Premier League move’ despite Milan’s persistence – the situation

AC Milan are attempting to bring Andoni Iraola to the club this summer. However, it is proving to be a little more difficult than hoped.

Since then, several names have been put in front of the Rossoneri, each with a varying degree of likelihood. Indeed, there have been some good and bad options, with high and low likelihoods also flying around.

However, it seems certain that Iraola is the number one choice at this point.

Iraola unsure on Milan

It may not be the first choice for the Spaniard, though. Reports have suggested a hesitation about the project and Matteo Moretto discussed the situation this afternoon, via MilanNews.

“Milan have already met with Iraola in London and are in constant communication with his entourage. To date, the Spanish coach hasn’t shown any openness to the Rossoneri, either from a contractual or financial perspective.

“Iraola continues to prioritize staying in the Premier League. Palace have made him a very significant offer, so beware of surprises, but to date Iraola hasn’t yet said yes to Milan. Negotiations will continue in the coming hours.”

There isn’t a major rush to get him appointed. Nevertheless, the sooner an appointment is made, the better.
