Arne Slot's future at Liverpool is far from secure amid the latest reports of the Dutchman's position at Anfield. The Reds boss led the club to a horrendous defence of their Premier League title as they finished fifth with a mere 60 points - 24 less than they accrued last season.

Pressure was consistently intense on Slot throughout the season but reports emerged that the club's owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) remain steadfast in their belief in the Premier League-winning manager.

The 47-year-old has already begun planning for the summer as he voiced the need for a new winger with Mohamed Salah leaving the club. However, that hasn't stopped speculation over the Reds making a move in the managerial market while a Reds star is said to have his eyes set on a move away from Merseyside.

Arne Slot has one year left on his Liverpool deal but may not be able to fulfil his contract after it emerged that the Reds have sought to hire Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola, according to Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The former Premier League champions are said to be considering their managerial options and with interest reportedly heating up in the Spaniard, it'll be an interesting summer at Anfield.

Iraola, 43, has reportedly been contacted by AC Milan as a replacement for Max Allegri with Sky Sports Italy reporting that alongside Liverpool, the manager is subject of interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Crystal Palace.

Di Marzio suggested that the talks surrounding Iraola would be for the future, rather than immediately, as the Reds risk missing out on the manager should they choose to hand Slot more time to turn fortunes around at Anfield.

With Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson on their way out of Anfield, the club could reportedly be set to part ways with academy graduate Curtis Jones. According to Di Marzio, the Reds' sporting director Richard Hughes flew to Monte Carlo on Tuesday to meet with Inter counterpart Piero Ausilio over a possible move.

The Italian giants were reportedly interested in the 25-year-old in the January transfer window before Slot refused the departure of the Liverpool-born midfielder.

Jones has just one year left on his contract and is said to be "prioritising" a move to Milan, says transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, which would put an end to his his 16-year association with the club.
