Valencia cool their interest in Leeds United‘s Largie Ramazani and put a summer move on hold.
The winger joined the La Liga side on loan in August 2025 and had a difficult start, also due to an injury. He returned in December but waited until February to make his first start.
The Leeds United man scored six goals between January and April, convincing the La Liga side to extend his stay.
Last month, the 25-year-old said he’s ambitious and will make a decision on his future after this season. Los Ches don’t have a purchase clause and as things stand, he must return to Elland Road.
Valencia unhappy with Leeds United man
Thursday’s edition of AS have a short report stating that Largie Ramazani’s attitude raises doubts at Mestalla.
His behaviour in recent months and activities on social media didn’t please his teammates and the coaching staff. Therefore, Spanish club have cooled their interest.
Online, AS state the Belgian had the door open to return to Valencia, but it’s now shut due to his recent behaviour.
The Leeds United owned player last started in Los Ches’ 2-0 home loss to Atlético Madrid on May 2nd. His physical performance was below par and didn’t ‘fulfill the tactical duties assigned during the week’ for this clash.
In the following days, he received a warning from the coaching staff and a ‘reprimand’ from senior players.
Despite this, the attacker then posted a picture on social media of playing golf on his day off and this only intensified his teammates discontent.
Valencia had held talks with Daniel Farke’s side and his agent to explore a deal for the summer. However, the recent developments in the last month have cooled their interest.
AS aren’t ruling out potential negotiations but insist it won’t happen anytime soon as the Spanish club will first focus on other targets.
Leeds United looking to sell
Largie Ramazani’s contract at Leeds United runs until 2028. Two months ago, we relayed news the Whites will only let him leave if there’s an ‘exceptional offer’.
Valencia, at that time, were exploring a fresh loan due to the financial limitations. The Premier League side are aiming for a sale, which clashes with Los Ches’ plan.
Even if the Belgian had finished the season on a high, the chances of returning to Mestalla via a permanent deal would be slim.
