The game will take place on Wednesday, August 12, 10 days before the Premier League season gets underway. The friendly will kick-off at 5.15pm.
Head coach Eddie Howe said: “An exciting test against Premier League opposition at a historic venue like Murrayfield Stadium will play an important part in our pre -season preparations.
“I’m sure our fans will bring a special atmosphere to Edinburgh for a fantastic summer away day, giving the players a massive lift as we build towards the new campaign.”
Murrayfield has a capacity of more than 67,000 and the game coincides with Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Tickets are priced from £35 for adults and £17 for Under-16s and pre-sale starts at 4pm today (Thursday) for Newcastle season ticket holders and members.
Pre-sale then opens for fans who registered for priority access at 10am on Monday, June 1 and general sale opens on Ticketmaster on Tuesday, June 2.
Newcastle will head for La Manga for a pre-season trip in July. The 2026/27 Premier League fixture list will be released on Friday, June 19 at 10am.
