Palace 'want an answer before end of weekend' from Iraola on club's job offer

Iraola departed the Cherries at the end of the season and said he will take his time to come to a decision, but Palace, after their Conference League win last night, are keen to get their new boss in place as soon as possible.

The Eagles believe they have done everything they can to persuade Iraola to come to the club and to give him the platform to continue to build his growing reputation.

There is a degree of scepticism at Palace over whether Iraola will accept the offer, after the time he has taken to give them an answer, Mokbel reports.

Should the Basque boss turn them down, then they will turn to plan B which includes the likes of Frank Lampard, Kieran McKenna, Pierre Sage, Sean Dyche and Thomas Frank.

Bournemouth have already appointed Iraola’s successor, with Marco Rose meeting his predecessor for a handover this week in the Dorset town.
