Everton and Newcastle United are set to meet in Edinburgh this summer.

Premier League heavyweights Newcastle United and Everton are set to head for Murrayfield Stadium this summer in a friendly match.

The teams managed by Eddie Howe and David Moyes are preparing for new terms in England’s top flight. It’s been announced they will face off each other at the home of Scottish rugby on August 12. Kick-off will be at 5:15pm and tickets for the match start from £35 for adults, and £17 for U16s, excluding booking fees.

A general sale opens on June 2nd at 10am and follows on from friendly matches to have taken place at Murrayfield in recent years. Manchester United faced Lyon in 2023 before returning a year later for a clash against Rangers. It’s a game that takes place amid the Edinburgh Fringe in the city and both Everton plus Newcastle United are encouraging fans to take advantage of the city’s famous festival.
