AC Milan are not progressing in talks with Andoni Iraola, but Crystal Palace are unlikely to be his destination either.
Milan have made it known that they are looking for someone who isbasically the opposite of Massimiliano Allegri as their next manager, from a style point of view. Iraola fits the bill and was in talks, yet last night La Gazzetta dello Sport claimedhe has chosen Crystal Palace for a few reasons.

Iraola’s future a mystery
According to Sky Sports, the discussions between Milan and Iraola ‘do not appear to be progressing’, however he ‘seems no more likely to join Crystal Palace either’ despite their Conference League final win over Rayo Vallecano last night.
Iraola held talks with Milan’s leadership earlier this week but is ‘understood to have reservations and conversations have gone no further for now’. The overhaul that the Rossoneri are undergoing at management level are believed to have contributed to his doubts.
Instead of joining Palace, though, Iraola is ‘expected to join a bigger club’. Bayer Leverkusen and Liverpool are projects that he would be open to considering, even though at the moment neither seem to be a concrete option.
there is no vacancy at Anfield and Sky are reporting that Arne Slot is expected to continue in charge next season. Leverkusen were talking to Felipe Luis about being their next head coach, but he is heading to Monaco.
