Tottenham Hotspur are moving swiftly with their rebuild under Roberto De Zerbi after surviving in the Premier League.
Last weekend's 1-0 victory over Everton kept Spurs in the top flight and their summer plans are already taking shape.
Departing Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has agreed to make the move to North London to provide experience and leadership to the dressing room.
He is out of contract with the Reds at the end of next month and will join Tottenham on a free transfer.
Spurs had attempted to bring the Scotland international on board in January but Liverpool did not want to let him go due to a high number of injuries at the time.
Robertson is set to the be one of the first signings of a busy transfer window for Spurs, as De Zerbi has his eye on several Premier League players.
Tottenham want Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke
Jan Paul van Hecke applauding the Brighton & Hove Albion supporters
De Zerbi is keen to reunite with centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke, according to The Independent.
Van Hecke played under the Italian at Brighton and Hove Albion, with De Zerbi hailing the defender as 'incredible' after he penned a fresh contract with the Seagulls in 2023.
That deal is set to expire in 12 months, putting Spurs in a strong position to try and sign the Dutchman on a cut-price deal.
Last summer, Van Hecke had been the subject of transfer speculation but opted to remain on the south coast. With his contract now ticking down, Brighton could feel it is the perfect time to cash in on the 'excellent' defender before they potentially lose him for free next summer.
He has made 106 appearances in the Premier League, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

The same report outlines that Micky van de Ven is keen to remain at the club after securing survival on the final day.
Club captain Cristian Romero is poised to leave the club this summer and Van Hecke could be the perfect replacement.
Van Hecke and Van de Ven already know each other well after coming through the youth set-up at the Netherlands together.
They played a number of matches alongside each other at Under-21 level and have played together five times at senior international level.
De Zerbi is keen to sign the player he already knows well to try and implement his style of football in North London.
Spurs have finished 17th two seasons in a row and the club hierarchy simply must react accordingly to allow the club to challenge for European football again.
They are "fully willing to back De Zerbi" as he gets working on his transfer plans with hopes of taking the club forward.
