Owen Dodgson spent the season on loan with Stockport County in League One
Owen Dodgson has completed a permanent move to Stockport County following his season-long loan move.
The 23-year-old made 25 appearances in all competitions as Dave Challinor’s side went close to sealing promotion from the third tier.
The Hatters finished the regular season in third place, securing a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

But despite overcoming Stevenage in the semi-finals, County were comfortably beaten 4-1 by Bolton Wanderers in the Wembley final.
“Owen Dodgson has now completed a permanent transfer from Burnley, after the obligation to buy clause in his loan deal was triggered during the 2025/26 campaign,” the Hatters confirmed in a statement.
The left-back had been with the Clarets since 2020 after making the move to East Lancashire from Manchester United.
He made his first-team debut two years later in a FA Cup tie against Huddersfield Town.
Prior to joining Stockport, Dodgson also spent time out on loan with Rochdale, Barnsley, Dundee and Burton Albion.
