All of the key dates for the 2026/27 Championship campaign have now been confirmed.

The Clarets find themselves back in the second tier following another relegation from the Premier League.
Scott Parker’s side finished 19th in the table on just 22 points, culminating in Parker losing his job in April.
First-team coach Mike Jackson took interim charge of the final four games of the campaign, while the search for Parker’s successor is ongoing.
The EFL have now confirmed that the summer transfer window will officially open on Monday, June 15.
It closes, meanwhile, at 11pm on Tuesday, September 1, returning to the later finish time after a brief flirtation with 7pm.
The window will then briefly reopen midway through the campaign on Friday, January 1 before closing at 11pm again on Monday, February 1.
The Clarets will learn their fixture schedule on Thursday, 25 June (12pm) with the new season kicking off with the Carabao Cup first round across the weekend of August 7-9.
The Championship’s opening weekend will begin the following week across the weekend of August 14-16.
TV picks
In the first half of the season, fans and clubs will get five months’ notice of matches picked for Sky Sports coverage.
In the second half, March and April picks will be announced four weeks in advance.
For penultimate games of the season, TV selections will be made three weeks ahead while the final day will be decided the week prior.
June 25: Opening weekend TV fixtures
July 2: TV picks before end of September
July 31: TV picks up to, and including, January 8-11
November 6: TV picks up to, and including, March 2-3
February 5: TV picks for weekend of March 5-8
February 12: TV picks for March 12-15 followed by weekly announcements looking four weeks ahead
