Crystal Palace’s historic Conference League win may have rounded off the most successful period in the club’s history, but focus has already shifted to who will lead the team next season as they prepare for Europa League.
The Austrian is set to leave south London after overseeing a remarkable run that brought Palace the FA Cup, the Community Shield and, now, their first European trophy. His exit would close a transformative chapter for the Eagles, who are preparing for a Europa League campaign next season.
Chairman Steve Parish and the club’s hierarchy are moving quickly to line up a successor, with Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola understood to be the leading candidate. The Spaniard has impressed during his time on the south coast and is widely viewed as the board’s preferred choice with Sky Bet, William Hill and Paddy Power all pricing him at 4/9. Palace are reported to have submitted a proposal and are now awaiting Iraola’s response. After steering Bournemouth into Europe, his stock has risen sharply, with his aggressive pressing and front-foot style earning praise across the Premier League. Palace believe he is well suited to continue the progressive identity Glasner established.

It is also claimed the club have offered assurances over transfer influence in an effort to persuade Iraola to make the move.
However, Frank Lampard is also said to have admirers in the boardroom and is currently 8/1 amongst the bookies to make the shock switch to Selhurst Park. He would become a serious alternative if Palace are unable to land Iraola but Lampard has rebuilt his reputation at Coventry City, pushing them back into promotion contention and showcasing a more structured tactical approach than in previous roles.
His Premier League experience with Chelsea and Everton, plus his profile as a high-status appointment ahead of European football, is believed to appeal to Palace - though any deal would be complicated by the fact he remains under contract at Coventry. Even so, reports suggest there is confidence he would be open to the job if Palace make an official approach.
