West Ham United star Crysencio Summerville is a target for Tottenham Hotspur and can ‘seriously dream’ of a big transfer this summer.
Journalist Joost Blaauwhof, from Voetbal International, reports that Tottenham are making a concrete offer for the 24-year-old.
Tottenham make concrete offer
The journalist reports that fresh of being called up to the World Cup by the Netherlands, Crysencio Summerville has interest around Europe.
He was undoubtedly West Ham’s best player this season, impressing despite their eventual relegation to the Championship.
And with West Ham needing serious sales this summer to balance their books as they count the cost of relegation, clubs are lining up to take Summerville away.
Roma have already placed him at the top of their transfer wish list. And Tottenham are also ‘making a concrete offer’ for his signature. The nature of that offer isn’t mentioned at the moment.
But those two are unlikely to be the only suitors either. Blaauwhof questions ‘who will follow?’ indicating that he believes more clubs will start to make moves for the winger before too long. At the moment, though, it is Tottenham and Roma at the front of the queue.
€30m valuation
The Italian side being keen should surprise nobody. Sport Witness have been covering reports of their interest in weeks.
The latest of those, yesterday, stated that they were already making the first steps towards a deal. That followed previous reports which explained that they were hoping West Ham suffered relegation this season. That would make a deal easier to do.
Now that is confirmed, it appears the vultures are circling. How much Summerville costs, remains to be determined. West Ham paid €29.3m for him in 2024 and Transfermarkt value him at €30m to this day. That’s the highest his value has ever been.
Such a sum certainly wouldn’t be difficult for Tottenham to match. They will undoubtedly look to spend big and reshape their squad to ensure relegation battles are a thing of the past.
