The Hailsham wideman emerged in the Seagulls’ first team after Oscar took charge in the summer of 2013.
He scored a brilliant goal against Norwich City in pre-season and was handed a debut early in the season.
March had signed from Lewes under boss Guy Poyet, who put him on the bench in the 2012-13 season without giving him a debut.
Oscar told The Argus: “It surprised me a lot that he hadn’t already played with the first team because he had qualities we did not have in the squad.
“One against one, powerful with the ball under control, a very good shot and he could play in various positions. And also his great team spirit.”
March made brief appearances in the first three home league games of 2013-14, scored in an FA Cup tie at Port Vale and made a total of 28 appearances in Oscar’s one season at the club.
He will officially part company with the Seagulls when his contract expires this summer and is set for a new challenge elsewhere.
Oscar, meanwhile, has most recently been in charge of Ajax’s senior team as they scrambled their way into the Conference League via play-offs.
He is being linked with a return to their B team or the top role at Anderlecht.
