**Crystal Palace to Leverkusen**
--------------------------------
The newspaper report that Bayer Leverkusen’s decision for their next manager could be imminent. And Oliver Glasner, who is their preferred candidate, is close to being secured.
According to BILD’s information, Glasner’s agent and Leverkusen have been holding talks about the position. Those talks are now well advanced. A formal meeting with Glasner himself is planned for Friday.
The German club are following a timeline that has been in place for week. Glasner wanted to finish the season at Crystal Palace first and refrain from holding talks any suitors until that point.
After winning the Europa Conference League on Wednesday, he is now open to talks and pushing a deal through. An internal deadline for his appointment is set for the end of May or the beginning of June at the latest. **Leverkusen chances increase**
-------------------------------
BILD have learned that Leverkusen’s chances of convincing him are better than they once were. Oliver Glasner can envision himself taking the job. CEO Fernando Carro and sporting director Simon Rolfes already had extensive discussions with the title-winning manager years ago.
The question is whether Glasner wants to return to the Bundesliga. He’s still attracted to the Premier League after his success at Crystal Palace. He wanted a top job, but they were already filled by other candidates.
That’s increased Leverkusen’s chances at least. According to BILD, what also appeals to Glasner is that Bayer already has a strong, developing squad, and the money to bring in more stars. A €100m budget has been set for the summer.
With talks set for Friday, it appears terms will be set out. And Glasner could be set for a quick return to the Bundesliga after his success at Selhurst Park.
