The transfer window opens in less than a month, and Liverpool should be looking to keep itself busy over the course of the summer.
Having overseen a poor campaign following last season’s title triumph, and $600 million spending spree, the pressure will be on Arne Slot to deliver next season, but he will need to be backed by sporting director Richard Hughes in the transfer market.
There are plenty of areas in the current squad that need improving, with at least one new winger likely to be among the priorities after Mohamed Salah’s departure, and there’s a new name for the Reds to consider among the latest raft of rumors.
Here is the Liverpool.com verdict on the transfer gossip to emerge around the Reds today.
Crysencio Summerville (West Ham)
Liverpool has been tipped as a possible destination for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville.
Voetbal International journalist Suleyman Ozturk (via Soccer News) expects the 24-year-old to leave the Hammers following their relegation from the Premier League, and has suggested a move to Anfield could be possible.
“That could be Arsenal. Or Liverpool. Top clubs are going to fight for him, so he can choose from a number of clubs," Ozturk said, while also suggesting Barcelona as another possible destination.

Liverpool FC have launched their new home kit for the 2026/27, inspired by iconic adidas strip worn during the club's 1989/90 title-winning campaign.
Liverpool.com says: Summerville isn't the most inspiring name to be linked with Liverpool ahead of the summer. He hasn't exactly lit up the Premier League with either West Ham or Leeds.
The Reds have done well when picking up players from relegated teams, but this one feels like it might be too much of a stretch. Tipping him for Barcelona certainly seems ambitious, especially when it's about to sign Anthony Gordon.
Alex Scott, Rayan and Eli Junior Kroupi (Bournemouth)
Bournemouth is determined to keep Alex Scott, Rayan and Eli Junior Kroupi, and will block any transfer attempts from rival clubs this summer, according to TeamTalk.
Liverpool has been linked with all three players, with the Reds' interest in Scott going all the way back to his time at Bristol City, while winger Rayan and striker Kroupi have both been touted for a move to Anfield recently.

The Cherries though are determined to keep hold of the trio ahead of their first foray into Europe next season, with efforts to tie Scott down to a new contract said to be already underway.
Liverpool.com says: All three players warrant a closer look given their performances this season, but keeping them at Bournemouth for another year might not be the worst shout.

It will be interesting to see how they do with Europa League commitments thrown into the mix, especially with Andoni Iraola having now left. If they can continue to impress next season, then that could be the time for Liverpool to pounce.
