The collection, featuring early 20th-century artefacts, will be a highlight of the upcoming Anderson & Garland Collectors’ Auction on June 4 at Anderson House in Westerhope.
Included in the auction is a rare 18ct gold chronograph pocket watch, presented to Veitch in 1905 to mark Newcastle’s first-ever First Division title.

The watch, known as Lot 407, was funded by public subscription through the North Mail newspaper and is expected to fetch between £2,500 and £3,500.
Jack Orgill, auctioneer at Anderson & Garland, said: "It is incredibly rare to see material connected so closely to one of Newcastle United’s most important early captains come to market, particularly with such strong provenance.
"Colin Veitch was instrumental in shaping the club during one of the most successful periods in its history and these pieces represent an important part of Newcastle’s heritage."

The watch was made by Newcastle jewellers Reid & Sons and has remained in the same family for generations.
According to family records, it was given to the vendor’s great uncle, a friend of Veitch, and has been passed down through the family ever since.
Another standout item is Lot 408, a 15ct gold medal awarded to Veitch for captaining the Football League team against the Scottish League in March 1906.

The medal is expected to sell for between £700 and £1,000.
Also up for auction is Lot 406, a life-sized footballer figure commemorating Newcastle’s 1910 FA Cup Final victory over Barnsley.
Nearly two metres tall, the figure is inscribed “Newcastle 2 Barnsley 0” and depicts a player wearing the number nine shirt.
Born in Heaton in 1881, Colin Campbell McKechnie Veitch remains a central figure in Newcastle United’s history.

He led the club to league titles in 1905, 1907, and 1909, and to FA Cup victory in 1910.
Veitch played 33 times during the 1904/05 championship season and helped build a team that conceded just 33 goals.
He also earned six caps for England and played a key role in founding Newcastle Swifts, the precursor to the club’s modern youth academy.
