The links between Lewis Hall and Bayern Munich are not yet concrete.

The Bundesliga champions are understood to be searching the market for left-backs amid Alphonso Davies’ struggle with injuries.
However, any such move will be dependent on a potential exit in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Hiroki Ito could enable Lewis Hall transfer
Hiroki Ito, similarly to Min-jae Kim, is a candidate up for sale this summer.
And either exit would enable FC Bayern to bolster the squad with fresh quality.
“To be honest, Lewis Hall’s name is not one I’ve heard yet in connection with Bayern Munich,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“What I can say is that it’s true Bayern Munich are searching for left-backs. As I’ve mentioned already with Bisseck, however, it’s dependent on the club selling a player – in this case, it would be Hiroki Ito. The Japanese defender has a price tag of €20m [£17.3m].
“FC Bayern are still hoping to get a really huge offer from Saudi Arabia for Alphonso Davies. Then they’d have to think about that as well!
“But if they can’t sell Davies or Ito, they won’t be bringing in another player, which would mean bad news for Lewis Hall, and the same for Joško Gvardiol (who can play at left-back and centre-back). I think Bayern are testing the market to see if they can make something happen, but they have to sell a defender first.”
In the case of Hall, Bayern would be securing an out-and-out left-back (who has some experience higher up the pitch).

However, the £17.3m the club could receive for Ito this summer would barely touch the sides when it comes to covering the potential £55m (TEAMtalk) price tag that has been reported elsewhere.
How does Hall statistically compare to Alphonso Davies
The 21-year-old has perhaps not been in the best position to showcase his talents this season, given Newcastle’s significant drop-off.
Eddie Howe’s men dropped 17 points to 2024/25’s total, with Hall’s performance levels statistically dipping (from 7.07/10 to 6.99/10).

Despite Davies’ evident struggles with injury this season – missing 22 games for club and country – there’s a clear quality gap in terms of offensive capabilities. As, of course, you might expect from a player four years Hall’s senior.
