Crystal Palace have shown keen interest in Andoni Iraola, who ended his three-year spell at AFC Bournemouth.
Oliver Glasner has stepped down after helping the Eagles win the UEFA Conference League earlier this week.
Crystal Palace need a new manager, and the latest claims stated Iraola will replace the Austrian.
Two days ago, we relayed news the Eagles made an offer to the Spaniard. On Thursday, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy of an agreement between the two parties.
AC Milan [and Bayer Leverkusen] have also shown interest in Iraola and believe he’s on his way to Selhurst Park. The latest claims from the UK and Germany insist the manager is in talks with the Bundesliga side.
This forces the Conference League winners to look for an alternative to the 43-year-old.
Crystal Palace focusing on German
Last month, Sport Witness relayed news both the London club and Bournemouth have Dino Toppmöller in their list and he prefers a move to the Premier League.
Sky Deutschland now pick up on that and provide a short but an important update about the Eagles.
The German has been without a job since leaving Eintracht Frankfurt in January and is ready for a new challenge.
Crystal Palace have identified the 45-year-old as a target to replace Oliver Glasner and ‘talks are underway’ with him.
There’s no mention on how the discussion are progressing between the two parties. Recent claims talked about Napoli, Al-Ittihad, VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Köln as options for Toppmöller.
Sky took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to add Toppmöller is a ‘hot candidate’ for the Selhurst Park job.
The Premier League side or any other suitor only has to find an agreement with him as he’s now a free agent.
Manager’s record with Eintracht Frankfurt
Dino Toppmöller joined Eintracht Frankfurt in June 2023 and helped them finish sixth in his first season and third last season.
This season, the German managed 29 matches [nine wins] before he was shown the exit door.
His record at Eintracht Frankfurt are as follows:
Matches: 121
Wins: 51
Draws: 34
Loses: 36
Goals scored: 224
Goals conceded: 189
