Liverpool could reportedly look to bring Jarell Quansah back to Anfield, but are willing to wait to sign the defender for a lower price. Quansah's reputation has grown since his departure from Liverpool last summer, and he may increasingly appear as an appealing option for a return to Anfield.
The 23-year-old moved to Bayer Leverkusen in a deal potentially worth up to £35million last year. Since his switch to Germany, Quansah has featured 43 times across all competitions, and has secured a spot in the England squad for this summer's World Cup.
Liverpool supporters will undoubtedly be monitoring whether Quansah can break into Thomas Tuchel's team at the tournament, with thoughts turning to a possible move back to Anfield.

According to German publication BILD, that possibility has been considered at Liverpool. With Ibrahima Konate's future away from Anfield, the Reds could find themselves searching for a new centre-back.
Arne Slot does have Jeremy Jacquet joining from Rennes this summer, and Giovanni Leoni is anticipated to be ready in time for pre-season following his ACL injury. Nevertheless, with 34-year-old Virgil van Dijk having just a year remaining on his contract and Joe Gomez having been linked with a departure, Liverpool may need to consider further defensive reinforcements.
However, it's said that Liverpool won't be pursuing Quansah this summer. It's claimed in Germany that while a return for the Anfield academy product has been discussed, the club will hold off until next year to potentially make their move - by which point he will command a lower fee.
The Reds included a buy-back clause when Quansah completed his transfer to Leverkusen, which would have made him available for €80m (£69.4m) this summer. However, that clause will reportedly reduce further next year, with Quansah available to Liverpool for €60m (£52m).

There is more to the decision than simply the price, however, with Liverpool reportedly expecting Quansah to further develop his leadership qualities during another year at Leverkusen, before considering a potential return to Merseyside to push for a regular first-team berth.
Quansah was a firm favourite of Jurgen Klopp's during the German's time at Liverpool. Towards the end of his time in charge, Quansah was being selected ahead of Konate in the starting XI.
As things stand Quansah appears content in Germany, having acknowledged that the switch to Leverkusen helped him rediscover his passion for the game following a difficult final campaign in England.
"I've really loved it, to be honest. It's been refreshing for me," Quansah said last month.
"I've started loving football again. Being able to play week in, week out against some of the best teams in the world. Showing what I'm capable of, what I can give to this team and to the fans as well. I've really enjoyed it so far, but it's not over yet. We've got an important month ahead of us.
"It's never easy moving to a different country. I think coming from the pressure of being at Liverpool, it's not easy to come away from such a big club and try to build your own career off the back of being at one place for 17 years. It's never easy, but I'm happy it's gone well so far."
