Blackpool have announced that Bailey Peacock-Farrell will remain at Bloomfield Road after agreeing a new one-year deal.
Opinion: Bailey Peacock-Farrell’s one-year extension with Blackpool is an outcome that is best for both parties.
In the last two seasons, the Seasiders have found themselves scrabbling to sort out their goalkeeper situation.
The departure of Dan Grimshaw seemingly caught the club off balance, and it’s only now that they’re finding their feet again.
On the back of the now-Norwich City man’s exit, a direct permanent replacement wasn’t in place, with Harry Tyrer coming in on loan.
With a permanent move for the ex-Everton youngster not materialising last summer, Peacock-Farrell arrived from Birmingham City.

Opinion probably changed frequently on him throughout the campaign. He endured a shaky start, and some of the criticism towards him was fair, but he grew in confidence as the season progressed, and the good outweighed the bad.
In several games the ex-Leeds United man proved to be the hero with the manner of the saves he made.
As much as he played his part in the Seasiders’ fight against League One relegation, the club has also been very good to him - giving him game time and allowing him the room to improve.
Both Steve Bruce and Ian Evatt backed their man, and a move elsewhere would’ve seen him having to earn that support all over again.
It’s an agreement that suits both parties. Blackpool get a bit of continuity between the sticks and save themselves a job in the transfer market, and Peacock-Farrell can continue to grow in a familiar environment.
