Confirmed: Super Falcons-eligible forward departs Brentford after two years of service

Through a statement published on their official website, Brentford Women have confirmed that eleven players will leave the club this offseason, including Super Falcons-eligible forward Habeebat Gbajabiamila.

Gbajabiamila departs The Bees after two years of service and will be fondly remembered for her contribution to the club's historic league and cup double-winning campaign in 2025.

At just 19 years old, she was among the youngest players in the squad during the 2024–2025 season.

The pacey attacker joined Brentford in the summer of 2024, combining her maiden campaign in red and white with studies towards a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Business.

Renowned for her blistering speed and direct style of play, Gbajabiamila consistently posed problems for defenders in one-on-one situations.

She is set to become the second Nigeria-eligible player to leave Brentford this summer, following Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka's move to Coventry City after their promotion to the Premier League.

Gbajabiamila began her development at Crystal Palace, spending seven years in the club’s academy before making the switch to Brentford.

Also departing Brentford Women are Khyri McKenzie, Cloe O’Brien, Esme Alaneme, Tiffany Balfour, Paula Holguin, Evie Witek, Carolin Engelhard, Kasha Petit, Rachel Dugdale and Kirsty Mathews.
