Hull City latest club to join chase
Africa Foot have a report focusing on the newly promoted Premier League side’s interest in Anto Sekongo.
Sergej Jakirović’s side have included him in their short list, while several other clubs are also pursuing the Malian.
This includes Leeds United, Lille, Toulouse FC, FC Lorient, Stade Rennais, AS Saint-Étienne and Samsunspor.
The Turkish club’s owners also own the Ligue 2 side, and whether this gives them an edge over other suitors isn’t clear. The player, for his part, ‘will soon’ have to choose between multiple suitors if he decides to leave USL Dunkerque.
Dunkerque’s stance or their demand isn’t mentioned in the report. The report also makes no mention as to who among the interested parties are ahead in the transfer race.
Contract, value and stats
Anto Sekongo’s contract expires in 2028, and Transfermarkt value him at €4m. His suitors will be waiting for his final decision on where he wants to play next season.
Having signed the attacker for free, the French club can make profit through his sale.
Daniel Farke’s side also have other attacking midfielder on their agenda. On April 1st, Sport Witness relayed news the Whites, Southampton and Watford are all in the mix to sign Paris FC’s Ilan Kebbal.
