Leeds United have a decision to make on Largie Ramazani in the coming months as his Valencia loan comes to a conclusion.
Daniel Farke’s squad management has been a point of contention amongst Leeds fans since he took over the club. Ultimately, the ends justify the means. He’s not only achieved promotion, but relatively comfortable survival, in spite of some unpopular decisions.
One of the most unpopular was Largie Ramazani being ostracised despite the ability he displayed early in his Leeds career. He’s since kicked on with Valencia in 2026 as well after a slow start there.

Ramazani’s spell at Valencia will no doubt have allowed him to continue his development towards being a player that Farke will want in his squad.
Working under Carlos Corberan, you’d hope that Ramazani has been schooled intensely in discipline without the ball. What’s clear is that he’s had a strong second half of the season. He scored six and seemingly won over the fanbase as a result.
However, with Leeds not having a buy option included in Valencia’s loan, it’s reported by AS that the Mestalla outfit won’t be pursuing a permanent deal.
They claim that attitude issues are cited as the reason for Valencia’s position shifting so drastically. What’s referenced is his lack of physical output during a defeat to Atletico Madrid. The Belgian was then on the bench for the final four games after that.
Bizarrely, Ramazani is also somehow being criticised for using his day off to play golf, which he shared on social media. Even though he was clearly granted this time off by Corberan, as the report outlines, Ramazani was still criticised for playing golf on his own personal time.
Valencia had already held talks with Ramazani and Leeds to explore conditions of a permanent deal. This peculiar development means that transfer looks increasingly unlikely.
Elsewhere, Norwich City are considering a “significant” move to sign Ramazani as their new winger signing. The Canaries have multiple targets out wide, with the Leeds man featuring high on the shortlist.

The fact Leeds didn’t include a buy option shows you that Farke and the club left the door open for Ramazani at Elland Road.
A barnstorming loan would have been brilliant for all parties. We’d know he’d be worth a lot more, and coming back as a much more important asset.
But, finishing the season with his attitude being called into question is a worry. Irrespective of whether that’s a fair accusation or not, it won’t be good news for Farke.
Farke was clearly looking to get the most out of Ramazani last season and mentioned his work out of possession as a flaw. Verdicts from Valencia might spark reminders for Farke as to why he was happy to let him leave on loan.
