**England international Anthony Gordon has signed for La Liga champions Barcelona in a £69.3m deal from Newcastle United.**
The winger, who scored six goals and assisted twice in his final 26 matches for the Magpies this season, joins on a five year deal set to run until June 2031, bringing his three years on Tyneside to an end before competing in the 2026 World Cup.
Gordon, 25, was [pictured arriving in Catalonia on Thursday night](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13548532/anthony-gordon-transfer-news-barcelona-reach-agreement-with-newcastle-for-england-international-winger) for his medical, after Hansi Flick’s side fought off German giants Bayern Munich for the former Everton player’s signature.
He made a total of 152 appearances in Black and White, scoring 39 goals before making the switch to the Catalan club, who were previously rumored to be considering activating loanee Marcus Rashford’s £26m option to buy clause.
The news will likely see Rashford, 28, return to boyhood club Manchester United with the arrival of his Three Lions teammate.
