Tottenham Hotspur are already closing in on two fresh faces ahead of next season and could now add a third to that list in the form of a midfield sensation.
Tottenham chiefs plotting move for Italian star
There was, of course, a lot riding on Tottenham's battle to avoid the drop in the Premier League and among those most relieved when Joao Palhinha's effort crept over the line against Everton would have been the transfer department.
Those in North London were already planning ahead like a Premier League side, pursuing both Andy Robertson and Marcos Sensei on the assumption that they would survive in the end.

Since then, they've been fortunate enough to reap the rewards for getting business done early and are set to welcome both players to kick off the Roberto De Zerbi era once and for all.
Robertson and Senesi mark the start of what should be an incredibly busy window in North London, which could also include the permanent arrival of Palhinha following his final-day heroics.

The Lilywhites mean business...
Even then, after three early arrivals, it's unlikely that the Lilywhites will be done. After all, this is a side that finished as low as 17th in two seasons on the bounce.
Alongside those three names, Spurs chiefs are also discussing the arrival of Niccolo Pisilli internally, according to Sports Boom. The AS Roma midfielder is also on the radar of Newcastle United and Juventus, but those in North London will be desperate to jump ahead.
At just 21 years old, Roma value the Italian at around €35m (£30m) - a fee that Spurs should have no trouble matching thanks to their shrewd business so far.
Pisilli can realise high potential at Tottenham
In their ideal world, Tottenham would be competing for the highest honours in England. As it is, however, they're several years away from that being their reality. But there are still some positives to take.
Whilst they rebuild, there's clear room for young players to develop. Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray will be clear benefactors. The same can be said for Mikey Moore when he returns from loan at Rangers. Pisilli, too, can be part of that.
The 21-year-old midfielder already showed glimpses of his best at Roma this season, starting 21 league games and recording six goal involvements. Now, he could receive the same opportunity in a system which is perfect for a player of his style.
De Zerbi's system requires high-pressing midfielders and intense transitions. The Italian is exactly that and would thrive under his compatriot.
League stats 25/26 Bergvall Pisilli
Minutes 966 1,284
Goals 1 2
Assists 3 4
Recoveries 39 76
Tackles 22 27
The numbers back that style, too. Just this season, Pisilli made 76 recoveries, almost 40 more than Bergvall. On paper, he's the perfect fit for De Zerbi.
