Rose 'looks a perfect fit' as Scott is looking forward to working with new boss

Scott was a key part of the Cherries team this season under Andoni Iraola that reached the Europa League in a first qualification for continental competition.

Iraola has now departed the club, with Rose coming in to take over.

Bournemouth are set to offer Scott a new contract to ensure he isn’t poached in the summer, although they are confident of keeping a hold of him whether he signs a new deal or not.

“It's going to be a lot of change, new manager, new staff,” he said.

“But from seeing how he's worked with other teams before, it looks like a perfect fit for Bournemouth.

“And he's worked in Europe before at top clubs, so he has that experience and that's definitely going to help us.

“A lot of us don't have experience playing in European football, so the fact he can bring that and yeah, that's only going to help us.

“So looking forward to it. It'll be nice to have a little bit of a break and then yeah, we're ready to go again in July and hopefully we can kick on and do well in Europe.”

Reflecting on reaching Europe, Scott said the longer he was at the club, the more he was convinced they would get there.

“The first year, the second year I was here, the longer you're here, you understand more about it and more about what the owner [Bill Foley] wants to achieve,” he said.

“We have, like I said, higher expectations of ourselves and ourselves as a club.

“I think we knew we could definitely make it two years earlier than expected.

“But that just shows the hard work that everyone's put in around the club, all the staff, recruitment staff.

“There's been tough windows where we've lost some of our best players. And they've brought in just as good players.

“So it's been amazing and the club's going in the right direction. So yeah, we're looking forward to Europe next year.”
