Former Liverpool star Danny Murphy said he would look into Luis Enrique's behaviour for any signs he may be departing Paris Saint-Germain. Enrique, 56, recorded his second consecutive Champions League triumph with the French heavyweights.
They overcame Arsenal in a tense penalty shootout having drawn 1-1 in normal time. Before the final kicked off in Budapest, the sacking of Arne Slot was announced.
Enrique has previously been linked with a move to Anfield and with his contract at the Parc des Princes expiring in the summer of 2027, Murphy believed there was a possibility the Spaniard may move to Liverpool. His suspicions were so strong, he devised a theory about Enrique's behaviour.

Before the match, Murphy said he will look to see if Enrique becomes emotional, whatever the result, stating it would be a clear sign he is leaving PSG. "Part of me still thinks [Luis] Enrique, [Liverpool] might be able to nick him from PSG, especially if they beat Arsenal," Murphy said.
"I'm going to watch his mannerisms after the game tonight. I am going to watch to see after the game if there are any tears. If he cries, he's coming to Anfield."
Unfortunately for Murphy and for any Liverpool fans who bought into the theory, no such thing happened. Instead, Enrique could be seen running around the Puskas Arena, pumping his arms in celebrations.
Tears never fell, and neither did the smile on his face. In his post-match interview, Enrique even hinted he is determined to refresh his side to lay down a path for even greater European dominance.
After the match, the ex-Barcelona manager said: "It's a normal situation when you have a lot of quality players. But, we need to renew the squad.
"Because, everyone has their position but we need to play for the position, get new players and solve the things that you normally have to do."

At present, Andoni Iraola appears to be the favourite to takeover at Anfield this summer. The Spaniard is a free agent after walking away from Bournemouth at the end of the campaign, having guided them to the Europa League.
Liverpool may have to jostle with the likes of Crystal Palace, AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen for his signature, as they are all believed to be interested in the ex-Rayo Vallecano manager.
Other managers linked with the vacancy also include Sebastian Hoeness of Stuttgart and Pierre Sage of French heavyweights Lens.
