Sinisterra leaves Cherries after obligation in loan deal triggered

As reported last August, the Colombian joined the Brazilian side for an initial loan fee of £2million which could rise to £10m in total, inclusive of add-ons. Included in the deal was an obligation to buy, which has now seen the 26-year-old complete his move to South America.

He made a total of 37 appearances for the Cherries since he joined in September 2023, initially on loan, from Leeds.

That deal was made permanent in February 2024 for a reported fee of £20m, but Sinisterra’s Bournemouth career was hampered by injuries.

While he had some memorable moments, including scoring the winner in the remarkable 3-2 comeback win over Everton in August 2024, it was his injuries that largely characterised his time on the south coast.

Since joining Cruzeiro, he has made 24 appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
