Fixtures details as Leeds United gear up towards a second season back in the Premier League.
Leeds United can now gear up towards a second season back in the Premier League - but when are the fixtures out and when does the season actually start and end?
Daniel Farke’s newly-promoted Whites successfully navigated their first season back in the country’s top flight with a very solid 14th-placed finish as the team finished eight points clear of the drop zone.
Leeds were assured of their Premier League survival with three games remaining and a nine-match unbeaten league run was only ended on the final day through a 3-1 loss at West Ham for whom victory failed to prevent relegation.
The season finished on Sunday, May 24 but the new season fixtures will be released less than four weeks later on Friday, June 19 at 10am which is just 19 days’ away.
The season itself will start on Saturday, August 22, one week later than the 2025-26 campaign to allow for 89 clear days from the end of the current season and 33 days from the World Cup 2026 final.
The final match round will be played on Sunday, May 30 when all fixtures will kick off simultaneously as usual.
The final day of the season will be a week before the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday, June 5.
The 2026/27 season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds.
The Premier League say the schedule will be designed to avoid domestic competition clashes with UEFA club competition dates, wherever possible.
They also add that over the Christmas and New Year period, no two match rounds will take place within 60 hours.
This is in keeping with commitments made to clubs to address the congested Christmas and New Year schedule within the expanded international calendar.
