Nottingham Forest are planning to sit down and discuss a new contract with key midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds are planning to hand the 28-year-old a new deal as a reward for his performances this season, and also in a bid to fend off interest that has built up elsewhere.
Besiktas and Manchester United have both shown an interest in the Ivorian, but sources have indicated that Forest intend to tie him down to a new contract once he returns from the World Cup.
The East Midlands outfit have no intention of losing the former PSV Eindhoven man any time soon, and believe that he will be a big player for Vitor Pereira once again next term.
Forest want to strengthen their squad rather than weaken it ahead of next season, and Sangare is one of their stars who they feel they simply must keep.

Sangare has also been subject to strong interest in recent months, but Pereira and Co. are adamant that they cannot lose both of their starting midfield pairing in the same summer.
They are readying a move to tie Sangare down as a result, with his current deal set to run into its final two years at the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
Forest are beginning to approach a crossroads in his time at the club where they must either start to think about tying him down for longer, or looking to cash in, and they have chosen the former.
They are prepared to let their star place his full focus on performing for his country at this summerās World Cup, but once his international commitments are over, he will have a new deal on the table.
Forest set to find it āimpossibleā to keep Morgan Gibbs-White
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider last week that it could be āimpossibleā for Forest to Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.
The ex-recruitment man suggested that Thomas Tuchelās decision to leave him out of the England squad will have little impact on where the 26-year-old sees his future, but did acknowledge that he will want to ātake the next stepā in his career soon.
Brown suggested that there are plenty of top Premier League and European clubs who are prepared to offer that for him, as he noted that there is āreal interestā in the attacking midfielder from several different parties.
Gibbs-White shone for Forest with 15 goals in the Premier League this season, but they could soon be about to fall victim to his career-best campaign.
