Italian giants Juventus have emerged as serious contenders for Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence as they look to overhaul their full-back options.

Juventus are hoping to use strong internal connections to boost their chances of signing Spence. Sporting director Marco Ottolini has a direct relationship with the player, having previously overseen Spence’s loan to Genoa as part of the January 2024 deal that sent Radu Dragusin to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spence enjoyed a decent 2025/26 campaign under Roberto De Zerbi, reviving his career after a series of mixed loan spells.
The dynamic wing-back made 44 appearances in all competitions, establishing himself as a key tactical asset thanks to his ability to play comfortably on both the left and right flanks. His performances earned him a place in England’s squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup in North America.
For Juventus, signing Spence from Tottenham will not be straightforward, as the defender has a contract running until June 2029, giving Spurs full leverage in negotiations.
