Juventus are currently debating between Tottenham Hotspur duo Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie as they eye replacements for Andrea Cambiaso.
Corriere dello Sport report that the Tottenham duo are on Juventus’ list as they consider Cambiaso’s departure this summer a possibility.
Tottenham duo on list
The newspaper explains that sacrificing Cambiaso this summer is a real possibility given the Italian full back is one of the sought-after players in their squad.
Selling him would allow Juventus to breathe new life into the budget. As a result, Juventus are already looking at possible replacements. And ‘work is already underway’ in England in particular.
According to the newspaper, CEO Damien Comolli has gathered information on Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie. The 23-year-old is not an easy signing, though, as he is a ‘favourite’ for Roberto de Zerbi. He does not want to lose his fellow Italian.
Djed Spence is also a target and at Spurs. And, crucially, he has already played in Italy with Genoa during the second half of the 2023/24 season. That is experience that could serve him well at Juventus.
€30m valuation for both players
There’s no mention of Tottenham’s asking price for either player at this point. Udogie is currently rated at €30m, but Spurs would surely demand more given De Zerbi likes him. His deal runs until 2030.
Spence is currently rated at €30m also and his deal also runs until 2030. But it also includes an option for a further year. That was only signed in August last year as well. So, like with Udogie, Tottenham hold all the power when it comes to the 25-year-old.
For now, Juventus appear to just have him and his Spurs teammate on a list of potential targets. It all depends on Cambiaso leaving first, which would open up a space and the finances in the budget to move for a replacement.
