Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with Juventus’ Khephren Thuram, who would be interested in a move to the Premier League.
The midfielder has become one of the best in Serie A this season. While he missed out on the French national team, it hasn’t impacted his growing reputation.
Since joining Juve in 2024, Thuram has played 96 times in all competitions. He’s contributed to over 20 goals, showcasing his strengths of carrying the ball forward.
Earlier this month, Sport Witness covered interest from Liverpool and Manchester United in the midfielder. At that point, there seemed to be certainty that Thuram would stay in Turin.
This stance may have changed and the Italian press cover it today.
Player’s choice becoming clear
TuttoJuve’s Mirko Di Natale reports Al Ahli are keen on the 25-year-old, who could now leave Juve.
The journalist confirmed interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, with Galatasaray also in the race. The Old Lady’s stance is that they’ll start negotiations for around €45m to €50m.
TuttoSport also report on the Frenchman.
They go a step further and state Thuram isn’t keen on moving to Saudi Arabia. His entourage also feels the same, so approaches from Al Ahli have been rejected.
As things stand, Thuram isn’t too keen on leaving Juve either. Only top Premier League clubs like Manchester United or Liverpool can convince him.
Juve too won’t oppose a sale, if the right price is offered.
Entourage playing games
Khephren Thuram
TuttoSport are close to Thuram’s agents and this is also reflected in the report today.
They bring forward his stance quite clearly and also leak what Juve think about the situation.
It is Liverpool who may need the 25-year-old more than Manchester United. Ederson’s strengths are largely similar to Thuram’s, and the Reds can yet lose Curtis Jones to Inter Milan.
The Frenchman would be a cut-price option, as compared to someone like Bournemouth’s Alex Scott. He is also at a very good age and has now proven himself in Serie A and Ligue 1.
