Leeds United 'among most keen' to sign Everton and Nottingham Forest target Lois Openda from Juventus
Leeds United are reportedly among the clubs most keen on signing Lois Openda from Juventus.
The 26-year-old spent the 2025/26 season on loan in Turin having been signed from RB Leipzig last summer. He managed just two goals in 34 appearances, but a contract clause ensured his deal was turned permanent regardless.

Leeds United and Lois Openda latest
According to TEAMtalk, the Whites are among those most keen on securing the misfiring frontman’s signature this summer.
Everton and Nottingham Forest are also said to be in the race for Openda, who registered 41 goals across 93 appearances in all competitions for RB Leipzig.
In April, regarding Openda’s standing in Turin, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano posted on X: “The obligation to buy for Lois Openda at Juventus has been authomatically activated.
“€46m (£39.7m) package deal for RB Leipzig between loan fee and permanent transfer, plus salary coverage. Juve will still try to find an exit solution for Openda this summer.”
French outfit AS Monaco and German club Eintracht Frankfurt have also been linked with Openda, who Juventus could reportedly demand £40m for.
If the summer window drags on with Openda still on the books of the Italian giants, they may need to drop their asking price.

Leeds United’s frontline
Leeds bolstered their frontline last summer with the free transfer additions of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
Both proved to be shrewd additions, although it has been suggested the Whites need to intensify competition for the pair.
Leeds icon Jermaine Beckford told The Yorkshire Post: “We need a goalkeeper. Illan Meslier’s contract is up, Karl Darlow's contract is up. I'd like to see Karl sign another year or two. We need a goalkeeper, [and] another number nine to push Dominic, to push Lukas, keep that competition nice and high.”
