Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni missed France’s training session ahead of Tuesday’s match against Iraq, which means that he will likely be forced to sit this one out in order to make sure he’s ready for the upcoming matches Les Bleus will be playing during the tournament.
“He remained at the gym, cycling and receiving treatment from a physical therapist. There is no immediate cause for concern,” said Deschamps during his media availability.
Neither Deschamps nor the French media disclosed Tchouameni’s physical problems, although it seems that it could be related to a minor discomfort. Knowing that France will be the heavy favorites against Iraq, Deschamps will likely take a cautious approach and keep him out of this one.
