Scott McTominay has been linked with a stunning £80million move to Real Madrid despite his World Cup no-show.
The Napoli ace was the hero for Scotland as they qualified for their first World Cup in 28 years after his iconic overhead kick goal against Denmark in November.
However, the ex-Manchester United star's performances in three disappointing displays against Haiti, Morocco and Brazil drew plenty of criticism.
But reports in Italy have suggested the 29-year-old is a big summer target for his former Old Trafford manager, Jose Mourinho. The Special One handed McTominay his United debut nine years ago and has remained a big fan of the Napoli ace, who helped them win the Serie A title last year.
He has reportedly stalled on talks on a new deal in Naples, although he still has four years left of his current deal. But Real Madrid reckon they could tempt Napoli to sell with a bumper fee, with the midfielder turning 30 in December.
