Besiktas are the favourites to sign Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer when the striker leaves Juventus. Still, the Turkish club have also added another Bianconeri player to their transfer shortlist this summer.
Juventus are looking to offload several players during the current transfer window, and one name reportedly available for transfer is goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. The Italian has been the club’s first choice over the last two seasons, although doubts remain regarding his long-term future in Turin.
Juventus open to goalkeeper change
Luciano Spalletti is reportedly unconvinced by Di Gregorio and believes Juventus can strengthen the goalkeeping position with a more experienced option capable of taking the squad to a higher level.
The Bianconeri have already attempted to sign Alisson Becker and continue to show interest in Emiliano Martinez, with reports suggesting they remain confident of securing the Argentine goalkeeper following the World Cup.
To make room for a new arrival, Juventus are now prepared to sanction Di Gregorio’s departure if a suitable offer arrives during the transfer window.
The club are also keen to generate funds through player sales as they continue balancing financial pressures while attempting to strengthen other areas of the squad.
Besiktas monitoring Di Gregorio
According to Calciomercato, Besiktas are interested in signing Di Gregorio as they search for a new goalkeeper ahead of the new season.
The Turkish club’s new manager is reportedly eager to recruit players from Serie A, with the Juventus goalkeeper among the names under consideration for a move to Istanbul.
Juventus are willing to approve the transfer provided its valuation is met and would welcome a swift agreement so it can accelerate plans to secure a replacement goalkeeper before the new campaign begins.
Besiktas’ interest in both Vlahovic and Di Gregorio could therefore create an opportunity for Juventus to resolve multiple squad issues during the same transfer window as Spalletti continues reshaping the team.
