Juventus rejects Fiorentina’s proposal for their struggling star

Edon Zhegrova is one of the players Juventus are looking to offload this summer, although the club have already rejected an approach for his signature because the proposed terms did not satisfy them.

The Kosovo international was among the players signed from Ligue 1 during Damien Comolli’s recruitment drive, but he has struggled to adapt to Italian football, and Juventus have failed to get the best from him under two different managers.

Jonathan David also arrived at Juventus from the French top flight, having previously played alongside Zhegrova at Lille, although neither player has managed to fully meet expectations so far.

Juventus reject Fiorentina proposal

Juventus are prepared to part ways with both players during the current transfer window, but the club remain determined to secure favourable terms before agreeing to any departures.

According to TuttoJuve, Fiorentina submitted an offer for Zhegrova, although Juventus rejected the proposal because it was structured as a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.

The Bianconeri are understood to prefer a permanent sale and are unwilling to accept arrangements that do not provide stronger guarantees regarding a future transfer.

Juventus stance on future offers

Juventus remain open to loan agreements only if they include an obligation to buy rather than a simple option, as the club continue working to reshape the squad ahead of the new season.

The Bianconeri are also still active in the transfer market as they search for new additions capable of improving the quality of the squad in key areas.

Despite their willingness to move on several players, Juventus are expected to remain patient and hold out for the best possible offers before sanctioning departures involving members of their current squad.

Club officials are believed to be focused on balancing incoming transfers with outgoing deals as they continue planning for the remainder of the summer window and evaluating the most suitable opportunities available in the market.

Zhegrova’s future therefore remains uncertain as Juventus wait to see whether improved proposals arrive in the coming weeks.
