Juventus have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Brian Brobbey this summer as they continue searching for a new striker following the departure of Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian forward failed to reach an agreement with Juventus over a contract extension, leading to the expiry of his deal and forcing the Bianconeri to move forward with plans to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Juventus are currently attempting to sign Randal Kolo Muani for a second time, with negotiations still ongoing as the club continues to assess several attacking targets during the transfer window.
Brobbey offered to Juventus
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus have also been offered the chance to sign Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey this summer.
The Dutch forward impressed during the recent World Cup before his national team was eliminated from the competition, and he is increasingly being recognised as one of the most promising strikers currently playing in England.
Brobbey’s physical presence and style of play proved valuable for Sunderland last season as the club comfortably secured their position during their first campaign back in the top flight.
Spalletti’s priorities in attack
Brobbey is regarded as one of Sunderland’s most important players, although the Black Cats are reportedly willing to consider his sale if a suitable offer is presented.
The striker representatives are also believed to have proposed him to Juventus as they continue evaluating potential attacking reinforcements ahead of the campaign.
Despite this opportunity, Brobbey may not fit the type of profile Luciano Spalletti is seeking for his squad, which could reduce the likelihood of Juventus seriously pursuing the move.
