Brighton Women Bring Back Lia Wälti to the WSL

Brighton Women have signed Lia Wälti from Juventus, whom she joined last season after previously making over 180 appearances for Arsenal.
A Switzerland international with over 125 caps, she won the WSL, League Cup, and Champions League while with Arsenal, then helped Juventus to the Serie A Women’s Cup and Supercoppa Italiana.
Individual honours include being named in the PFA Team of the Year and winning the Swiss Female National Player award twice.
Head coach Dario Vidosic told brightonandhovealbion.com: “Lia is a huge addition to the team ahead of the new season.
“She brings a similar leadership profile to the group as Fran Kirby – a huge amount of experience at the very top end of the game, with silverware to show for it.
“Lia’s career speaks for itself and I am looking forward to seeing the impact she will have for us.”
