Jared Dublin's sudden departure from Hull City on Monday caused some surprise amongst supporters, with a disagreement over a new, improved deal thought to be at the centre of his exit.
Now that Dublin has gone after two years at the MKM Stadium, attention has turned to who might come in to replace the American.
Okan Özkan, the former Fenerbahçe assistant sporting director, is set to take over, and it was confirmed by his former club, Pogon Szczecin, that he was destined for the MKM Stadium.

Who is he?
Born in February 1991, he spent seven years at Fenerbahce, working in various roles, with his final one being their assistant director of football. A licensed coach, Özkan studied economics at university in Istanbul, as well as a spell in Siena, Italy. It has been suggested some of his early football education came in Scotland.
Undoubtedly, having economics, sports management and coaching qualifications on his CV, has helped in his various roles in football. He's thought to be keen on data, which when it comes to recruitment in 2026, is a useful asset, you'd imagine.
What's his football background?
Having qualified as a UEFA A Licence coach, the 35-year-old worked with Kasimpasa, and then moved on to Istanbul giants Fenerbahce. During his time at Saracoglu Stadium, he worked as an assistant coach in the club's academy, as well as being the club's finance executive and football planning executive, before taking over the role of assistant sporting director and deputy coordinator of the senior first team. He worked under Jose Mourinho and Jorge Jesus at Fenerbahce. He held that role for two years before leaving last year.
What's he been doing since leaving Fenerbahce?
Özkan spent last season working with Polish club Pogon Szczecin. For those thinking that name rings a bell, well, you'd be right. Pogon Szczecin is the club where City's former vice-chairman Tan Kesler is occupying the same role, as well as chief executive. Ex-City star Kamil Grosicki is also on the playing staff there. He confirmed on Instagram that he was leaving on Tuesday evening.
