Hull City-linked forward Emersonn has completed a move to the Premier League
Ipswich Town have completed the signing of Brazilian marksman Emersonn from Toulouse despite talk of interest from Hull City.
Reports claimed Hull were on the trail of the 21-year-old and it was even suggested offers had been tabled to Toulouse. However, it later emerged that Ipswich were in pole position to land the highly-rated forward.
Emersonn has now been unveiled by the Tractor Boys, who were promoted from the Championship with Hull and Coventry City last season.

Ipswich Town seal Emersonn signing
The former Brazil youth international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Portman Road.
He said: “I am very proud to sign for Ipswich Town. Playing in the Premier League is something I have always dreamed of and I know I have picked the perfect club to do that with.
“I will give everything for the team every time I play and I can’t wait to get started and meet my new teammates as well as the supporters.”
‘Exciting moment’
Ipswich’s chairman Mark Ashton has hailed the capture of Emersonn as an “exciting moment” for the club, who will be hoping to avoid immediate relegation back to the second tier.

He said: “The signing of Emersonn is an exciting moment for the club. As we prepare for our return to the Premier League we know recruitment will be crucial, with the club investing significantly in this area in recent years in order to bring the best possible talent from across the globe to the club.
“In making Emersonn our first signing of the summer we know we have acquired a young, hungry player with a high ceiling, with more signings to follow as we continue to invest to give ourselves the best possible chance of achieving our goal in the Premier League.”
