The star joined Rangers from Everton last summer transfer window.
A Ligue 1 side are claimed to want to replace one key man who’s gone back to Real Madrid with a star at Rangers.
Youssef Chermiti’s move from Everton to Ibrox was criticised last summer after he joined the Premiership side in an £8m rising to £10m with add-ons deal amid a poor Toffees goalscoring record. His talents have been developed at Rangers and Chermiti netted 15 goals with five assists in 41 games as he combined physicality with numbers.
That has attracted interest as the full package comes together and Lyon in Ligue 1 are keen. They want to replace Endrick after the Real Madrid livewire left their attack following the conclusion of his loan and Lyon are willing to pay good money for the ex Everton attacker. Rangers aren’t keen to sell though and it will take a big bid to bring him out of Ibrox.

Youssef Chermiti transfer latest
It’s claimed by Foot Mercato: Looking for a top-class successor to fill the void left by Endrick's departure at the forefront of their attack, Olympique Lyonnais have placed Youssef Chermiti at the top of their attacking shortlist. The 22-year-old Portuguese Under-21 international ticks all the boxes for the profile sought by the Lyon management.
“Impressed by the qualities of this pure centre-forward (1.92m), OL are considering making a move and would like to submit an offer of €14 million plus €4 million in bonuses to try and convince Rangers. However, Lyon will have to revise their plans in the face of Scottish intransigence. According to our information, Benjamin Charrier, Lyon's head of recruitment, recently contacted Rangers' management to make concrete progress on this matter.
“Despite this genuine interest, the Glasgow club does not want to part ways with Youssef Chermiti this summer. Under these circumstances, an offer of €14 million plus €4 million in bonuses is unlikely to be enough to convince the Scottish club's management, who are determined to keep their striker for another season.”

What is Youssef Chermiti’s goal at Rangers?
Chermiti admitted towards the end of last season how tough his opening spell at Rangers was but is now determined to bring back title glory for the first time since 2021 this campaign. He said in May: "I want to win the title, that’s what I’m thinking about. Obviously the first few months in Scotland were a bit difficult for me, but I had some time to settle down.
“As I said in previous conferences, I feel more confident in the team and in the country as well. I think everyone gave me more confidence, and even on the pitch I feel more confident. As I said, this season has been sad for us. We had a goal and we didn’t get it, but this is football and we’ll go again next season."
