The midfielder suffered a nasty injury after the Mexico game.
Jordan Henderson will not declare his World Cup over despite undergoing wrist surgery, according to team-mate Morgan Rogers.

The 36-year-old went under the knife in Kansas City on Tuesday to repair a fracture sustained when celebrating England’s famous win over Mexico on Sunday.
Henderson landed awkwardly while climbing back over the advertising hoardings during the aftermath of the 3-2 win at the Estadio Azteca.
He will remain in camp for the remainder of England’s journey in the tournament, but Rogers says he could yet return to the pitch.
“That just shows exactly what he’s like as a person, as a guy, and I think hopefully he can be still involved with us going through the rest of the tournament,” Rogers said.
“He’s not going to rule himself out and neither are we.
“I think the belief he’s got in his own body, his ability and his confidence and the way he is and what he represents as a person is massive to our group.
“He’s the heartbeat of the group and to see him this morning, smiling and as happy as he ever is, no matter what’s happened in the last 48 hours, it’s so nice for us.
“Hopefully we can get him back out on the pitch as soon as possible.”
Even if he is unable to get back on the pitch, having appeared at a fourth World Cup when coming off the bench during the group-stage win over Panama, Rogers says Henderson’s impact will still be felt around the camp ahead of Saturday’s quarter-final against Norway.
“I think you’ll see him on Saturday in one way, shape or form,” Rogers said. “He’ll be there and he’ll contribute to us playing and us being involved, and that’s the person he is, that’s the player he is.
“He always puts his ego to one side and he always puts us first and tries to help every player in the best way possible, whether it be conversations, whether it be actually playing.
“People forget about what a player he is and what he’s done in this game. People kind of don’t see it and put it to the back of their memory.
“What he’s like in training with his standards and his drive, that rubs off of everyone else, and it makes us a better team because of it.”
Thomas Tuchel’s men returned to training on Wednesday as they step up preparations for the crunch clash with Norway but Henderson remained at the team hotel as he recuperated from surgery.
“Surgery done! Let’s get ready for the big one Saturday,” he posted on Instagram.
“Thank you to all the staff that looked after me at Kansas City orthopaedic institute. Especially the three surgeons who carried out the operation.”
