Juventus are in the hunt for Tottenham‘s Guglielmo Vicario but a deal is more complex than first thought.
The Bianconeri have been in the market for a keeper and Sport Witness have covered their keen interest in Emi Martinez. A deal for the Argentine hasn’t taken shape, forcing them to look at alternatives.
Tottenham’s Vicario is an option and there have been signs a loan deal could be possible. Spurs would ideally want guarantees over a permanent exit.
Now, a fresh stance is emerging and things may not be easy for the Old Lady.
Permanent transfer needed
TuttoJuve report the 29-year-old has specifically asked Tottenham for a transfer back to Italy. So far, that hasn’t led to any major progress.
Spurs have now closed the door on a loan and they are only looking at his permanent exit. Juve appear interested but the London club’s valuation is between €15m and €20m.
This figure is currently too high for Juve.
Their inability to meet that price is due to the presence of Mattia Perin and Michele Di Gregorio. Both their goalkeepers are likely to leave but their exits have been dragging out.
Once the sales go through, the Old Lady will have the money to sign Vicario. Both are valued at around €11m, with Juve hoping some movement takes place soon.
