Nottingham Forest will soon make a bid for Feyenoord youngster Givario Read.
That’s according to Dutch website fr12 who claim the official approach for the right back will come on Thursday.
They describe Read as ‘one of the most sought-after talents’ in the Dutch league and claim he has been on the radar of overseas suitors for some time. But it is claimed Forest is the first club to make their interest ‘concrete’.
Read is under contract until 2029 and taken Feyenoord as a youth player by Robin van Persie in 2023. Since then he has made 54 appearances, scored five goals and assisted 11 others.

Twenty of those came last season when he also played in the Europa League and scored against Panathinaikos, however while he has also been linked with the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich he also missed several weeks with hamstring problems last term.
As things stand Forest have decent options at right back, with Neco Williams, Ola Aina and Nicolo Savona who can operate at right back, with young Zach Abbott also making something of a breakthrough in the position last season as well.
However, if new boss Oliver Glasner employs his customary back three, that could require a different profile with wing backs rather than traditional full backs.
