The game against Brentford was originally scheduled for Saturday, August 29, but was moved to Sunday after being selected for live television coverage.
The match is one of three Premier League fixtures being shown live on Sky Sports at the same time, alongside Chelsea v Brighton and Sunderland v Fulham.
West Yorkshire Police said it is "highly experienced" in policing major events and has plans in place for what will be a busy August Bank Holiday weekend, which will also see the Leeds West Indian Carnival take place.
In a statement, Leeds City Council said it has long-established arrangements with Leeds United and festival organisers Festival Republic to minimise the risk of any additional disruption caused by the events.
A spokesperson for Leeds City Council said: "The council has worked closely, as it does each year, with Leeds Festival organiser Festival Republic on a dedicated traffic and travel management plan for the Bramham Park event.
"Similarly, the council and Leeds United have long-established arrangements in place for matchday operations.
"We will be liaising with Festival Republic, Leeds United and other stakeholders, including West Yorkshire Police, in the coming weeks to ensure the plans dovetail as efficiently and effectively as possible on August 30.
"We would also encourage those attending either event to use public transport wherever possible and to plan their journeys in advance.
"Should any changes be required to the current arrangements, they will be communicated to the public in due course."
