Andoni Iraola will face the media for the first time on Monday morning at his official public introduction as new Liverpool head coach.

Iraola was appointed at the start of June after Arne Slot was sacked following a disappointing defence of the record-equalling 20th championship that was sealed in dominant fashion during the Dutchman's debut season in charge.

New boss Iraola, who was most recently at Bournemouth, began in his role at the AXA Training Centre earlier this week and was with a number of first-team players who returned early for preparatory work before the majority begin pre-season next Tuesday.

And Liverpool will hold a press conference on Monday in Kirkby at 11am in which Iraola will take questions from the assembled media for the first time since taking charge.

After a week at the AXA Training Centre, Liverpool fly out to the United States on Monday, July 20 for a camp ahead of a three-game tour during which they play Sunderland, Leeds United and Wrexham.

The Reds will be without their World Cup representatives at the start, although it is hoped Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Alisson Becker will play some part in the tour.

However, Alexis Mac Allister and new signing Victor Munoz, who have reached the last eight with Argentina and Spain respectively, are unlikely to link up with their team-mates until after they return from the States.
